Charlie’s Corner – October 19th

The Wedding Banquet– We are staying in the book of Matthew, but we are moving on to Matthew 22.The more I study Jesus’ parables, I realize how hard they are to take. I understand I wasn’t there the day he told it – but why do I feel like I’m the “target audience”, Amen?! Our lesson this Sunday is “The Parable of the Wedding Banquet”. We’ll be looking at the first fourteen verses of the chapter.

I have to be honest with you, this approaching weekend is one I have not been looking forward toThe Armor of God– Come join us as we continue our Study on the “Armor of God” from Ephesians 6.We’ve covered “spiritual warfare” and “battle gear”. This week’s study will be on “the enemy” and all “the lies he tells”. We’re having good numbers of adults, children, and students on our Fellowship Night, so come join us for food, fellowship, and spiritual food too!

Reading at AES – If you’d like to be a “reader” for a 3rd Grader at Aliceville Elementary School, please get in touch with Jill. She is the Reading Coach at AES and she is looking for volunteers. A few minutes of kindness can make a huge difference in a student’s education and life!
